About us
Software, bench-tested.
To bench-test something is to put it on the workbench and check that it does what it claims before it goes anywhere near real use. That is what BenchTested does for software. Every app is installed on a clean Windows machine, run through the same scripted tasks as its competitors, measured and screenshotted. The score comes with the log behind it.
Who we are
BenchTested is edited by Furkan. Testing is AI-assisted: an AI agent drives the test machine, times each step and drafts the write-up, and every result is checked against the source before it is published. Read exactly how we test.
Meet Benny
Benny is our crash-test dummy. Like the dummies in car safety labs, Benny goes through the test first so you don't have to. The black-and-yellow target on Benny's head is the same marker crash-test dummies wear, and it is our logo. When you see Benny on a screenshot, it came from our own test bench.
How we make money
Some outbound links are affiliate links, so we may earn a commission if you buy. That never changes a score, a ranking or a verdict, and apps cannot pay to be reviewed or ranked. Untested apps carry no score at all. The full rules are in our disclosure and editorial policy.
